Fighting Poverty
For some, poverty is a state of life while others face unexpected challenges that force them into poverty.
Catholic Charities is Building Hope for the less fortunate of our community.
Currently in Ector County, 16 % of the population is living below the poverty level while 32% of the community over the age of 25 are unable to read at a fifth grade level and an estimated 339 men, women and children are homeless.*
Where do these people go for help?

The Building Hope Campaign
Catholic Charities provides a continuum of services to those in need. Our goal is to meet the immediate needs, such as food, medicine and utilities, and to prepare clients for a life of self-sufficiency through training in money management, literacy, GED preparedness, and workforce training. All educational programs are provided free-of-charge.
Agency Needs - CAN YOU HELP?
We are currently seeking donations to assist us in the purchase of a new roof. Seems we have quite a lot of leaks that need our attention.
Your generous support will allow us to continue Building Hope in our community.
Thanks so much to those of you who have made donations.
